Community

  • School Advisory Committee (SAC) - The SAC is composed of an equal number of parents and teachers as voting members and meets on a monthly basis. The SAC serves as a forum in which questions or concerns raised by parents or teachers are discussed. The SAC includes parents and teachers who are elected to represent the community at large. The function of the SAC is to make recommendations and advise the principal on (1) school policies, student activities, and administrative procedures; (2) instructional programs and educational resources within the school; (3) allocation of resources within the school to achieve educational goals; (4) administrative and logistical support services provided by the installation commander and applicable service commands; and (5) policies and standards of the installation command and military services related to the above.

The SAC does not address matters pertaining to personnel policies or practices, compensation of school staff, grievances or school employees, or internal management of DoDDS or their programs. If you have any questions or concerns about the school's curriculum or environment, give one of the SAC representatives a call! A list of current representatives is available at the office.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. As always all parents and community members are welcome.

  • School Improvement Leadership Team (SILT) - The SILT is a committee in the school that exists to execute the School Improvement Plan (SIP). The SIP is a plan developed and adopted by the school to improve its internal services and operations.
  • Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) - The PTO is a volunteer school support group composed primarily of parents. This group is very active in providing valuable support to schools. The PTO was converted from a PTA in 2004 and merged with the Booster Club. The PTO meets the first Wednesday of each month in the Information Center at 1600.
