GradeSpeed Parent Connection
GradeSpeed is a software program that was introduced by the Department of Defense Education Activity last year. It is a web-based electronic grading program that teachers use to keep track of their students' progress.
GradeSpeed ParentConnection serves as a portal to your child's success. By acquiring a GradeSpeed ParentConnection account, you will be able to view your child (ren)'s grades (grades 4 through 12) and attendance.

Sep. 8, 2009 - Data transfer between SMS and GradeSpeed has now resumed for SY 2009-10. If you have an account from last year, you may use the same Username and Password you used last year to access your dependent's grades and assignments. If you forgot your Username or Password, please contact the program administrator here. For information on creating a new account, please read below. |
To apply for a new account:
The application process is simple. To apply for a GradeSpeed ParentConnection account, follow these directions:
- Access the GradeSpeed site at https://dodea.gradespeed.net/gs/
- Once on the GradeSpeed website, click on Parent.
- Change the District to Department of Defense Europe.
- Do not enter a Username or Password. Click on the link that says “Click here to sign up”.
- Please enter accurate information in the required fields. This information will be compared against student records as a qualification for approval. Use the information that you provided when registering your student at the school as this is needed in order to verify and approve the account. Your registration will then be reviewed at the building level to ensure that you are on the student's records. Please allow 3-5 days for us to process your account.
Grades that appear on GradeSpeed ParentConnection are as current as the teacher's electronic gradebook. Please allow adequate time for teachers to grade papers and enter the grades into the system. Remember, teachers have the full-time job of teaching, planning, collaborating, sponsoring extra-curricular activities, meeting, and assessing student work.
Parents and sponsors should limit electronic communication through the ParentConnection ‘Notes to Teacher' feature to only essential and reasonable communications. Please utilize the notes for appropriate written communication and avoid excessive use of the feature.
