Academics

Overview:

Menwith Hill Elementary/High School follows a typical United States school curriculum. Students in grades Kindergarten through 5 are taught in self-contained classrooms by a primary teacher.

  • Distance Learning:

Because of the small size of our high school (approximately 100 students in grade 9 through 12 as of October 2006), some courses are taught via telecommunications. These distance learning courses are taught by instructors around the world and students use computers to communicate with their teachers. Course offered this year at Menwith Hill via distance learning include:

AP Calculus AB/BC AP Physics AP Computer Science A
AP Computer Science AB Java I Java II
C++ programming Economics Humanities
Health Marine Biology Visual Basic
  • Gifted Education: For more information about Gifted Education, click on the links below:
  • Elementary School - Students in grades K-5 also receive instruction in Physical Education, Music, Art, and British Culture.
Students in grades 6 to 12 rotate to different classes and teachers. Classes are 85-minutes long and held every other day. Bell schedule
